If you have connections to the Kansas City Craft Community (or wish you did!), you should join our maker group! It's a great place to share advice and experiences.
The maker group has a great website with lots of helpful information, too. If you need more in-depth assistance, maybe I can help!
In my life as a crafty entrepreneur I've made all the mistakes at least twice and learned a ton along the way. When I first started selling in stores and online, the learning curve was so daunting! Stores would lose samples, I charged too little shipping, and, yeah, I cried a lot, too. I decided that there had to be a different way. When I opened Rakun, I made it my top priority to help. I would drop whatever I was making to chat with makers about their goals.
I decided that, just because my brick and mortar doors are closed, it doesn't mean I have to stop being helpful. You can order affordable advice packages to help you reach your goals on Etsy.
PS: If you've shopped around at all for some business help, you might notice that my prices are below industry standards. This is because I believe in YOU and I want indie, one-person businesses to have access to the tools needed to grow.
